Morgan's journey with golf began just a few short years before her passing. Working at prestigious PGA tournaments like the Wells Fargo Championship and The Ryder Cup ignited a passion within her. Despite being an amateur, Morgan embraced the game with infectious enthusiasm. "I may not be good yet," she'd say with a smile, "I'm trying to get better, but I'll definitely look good doing it!"

That passion lives on through the Morgan Horne Memorial Scholarship Program.  The fund established an annual scholarship to empower young female golfers from Anderson District 5 High Schools to pursue their post-graduate dreams.

Each March, we will post the scholarship application to this website for eligible students to complete in coordination with their respective school Guidance Department.  The scholarships will be presented to the recipients during their high school’s Senior Awards Program in addition to a private luncheon hosted by the Fund to honor the recipients and their families.

In May 2024, inaugural $2,000 scholarships were provided to seven recipients from T.L. Hanna and Westside High Schools.  Check out the Scholarship Gallery to view pictures of the recipients and their families taken at the luncheon recognizing their accomplishments.
